I'm Cliff Matthews, aka Lazy Young deadhead. I'm overwhelmed, but not burnt out. I recently completed the Hardrock 100 and "attended"1 BARGE. Those vacations recharged my batteries thoroughly.

Although this is the first post in this blog, it's not a "start here" entry. Mb2 is a project I've been working on for over seven years2.

"Coming Soon"

Craftpoker.com has been around for years. We've been playing a tournament a day since before May 1st, 20203. Although we've been play-testing in the open, we haven't tried to catch people's attention. I will do so soon, but there's infrastructure that needs to be in place, first. This blog is one piece of that infrastructure, and for now it's a mere placeholder.

No Kickstarter, yet

The two primary stakeholders of Craft Poker Co. are players and investors.

After we get rid of the intimidating warning that the Native Windows installer produces and after we get a nicer UI, we plan to do a Kickstarter, raising money to build out the rest of the near-term features.

Developers

Mb2 is built on Rust, the programming language, Yew, the Rust front-end framework and Tauri, the cross-platform wrapper. Additionally, we use the DecentSecret Tauri plugin and our own css-asset-pack and serde_de_chain. Although the vast majority of Mb2's source is closed, both css-asset-pack and serde_de_chain are open source.

I anticipate writing blog posts for developers4.

1. I was at The Orleans for a week, but spent all but a day and a half in my hotel room, working.

2. Craftpoker Co. was never intended to be a sole person project, but here I am. Currently, it's just I and AI. If you're curious how I got here, ask, but that's not the point of this post.

3. I don't know when we started playing daily, because May 1st, 2020 was the date of the "great database reset", so hand number one is on that date.

4. Although it has nothing to do with Mb2 or CPC, If you're a developer, have you heard of SDL?
